Our Mission

Teach

our goal is to teach the truths of the catholic faith through unforgettable talks and discussions with the best known catholic apologists in the nation, which will set a person's feet on the firm foundation of God's revealed truth.

"Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." -Jn 8:32

Pray

We strive to teach the importance of the interior life, for the truth cannot help us, unless we live it, and we cannot live it if we do not have god’s constant assistance which is found only in a life of prayer.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." -Colossians 4:2

Proclaim

Our faith is too incredible to be kept to ourselves, so It is our desire to encourage teens to answer Jesus' call to let their light shine, and in charity share the saving truths of the catholic church in an effective way.

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." -Matt 5:14-16

 HOw It StaRTED:

Rob and Gina met doing youth ministry 25, plus years ago. After they got married and started a family, they took a leave from the youth ministry program they were involved in at their local parish. Several years later they were asked to participate again, but they declined as they saw it as too big of a time commitment with their growing family. Yet, they still wanted to be active in helping the teens grow in love for their faith.

Through their time with the youth, they saw there was a great need for kids to understand the faith intellectually…less fun and games and more knowledge of why it’s actually amazing to be Catholic. This prompted them to start a once a month apologetics meeting with the teens. However, knowing that would probably sound terribly boring to their audience, they thought having good food might entice some of them to come. Yet, how could a newly married couple feed a bunch of hungry teenagers and not break the bank? Spaghetti, of course! And that is where the name, Apologhetti, was coined…apologetics together with spaghetti = Apologhetti. :)

After several years of doing Apologhetti and many teens going through the program, Rob thought it would be neat to do a little Apologhetti campout with the college students visiting on their Summer breaks. This lead them to think about maybe getting their apologist friend (John Martignoni) to come and give a few talks, but then they realized that the neighboring campers might not appreciate it! 😅 Well, one thing lead to another and instead of it being a little group having a campout, it grew into a full fledged apologetics camp with speakers like Dr. Peter Kreeft, Tim Staples, Trent Horn, John Martignoni, Patrick Coffin, and more . . . along with priests and religious sisters. The camps were amazing, but then Covid happened, and the facility they were using for the camps shutdown. That, along with the realization of their first duties being towards their family, they decided not to undertake the camp once things had mellowed out after Covid. Now they are focusing on just the once a month apologetics meetings. If you would like to join the Aploghetti meetings, and grow in your knowledge of the faith, please shoot them an email at apologhetti@gmail.com.

They look forward to hearing from you!

What to expect:

Show up hungry and enjoy and amazing home cooked spaghetti dinner. After dinner, we listen to a talk from a Catholic apologist on some of the common misconceptions people have about the Church, ie, apostolic authority and the Pope, sola scriptura, sola fide, the real Presence, and so much more. Once the talk is over we finish the evening with engaging in discussion over the presented material. :)
